Founder
The foundation of Patra Jewellery rests on the vision of Mr. Sudhakar Patra. From Jaraka — heart of Odisha’s goldsmithing tradition — he built a house on trust, where every piece carries the weight of a family’s word.
Long before Patra became three showrooms across Jajpur, it was a single workbench and a promise: purity without compromise, craft without haste, and honesty at the counter. Mr. Sudhakar Patra measured metal the way he measured character — carefully, publicly, and without shortcuts.
Under his guidance, a generation of artisans learned that mastery is quiet. Filigree, hallmark discipline, and the patience of hand-finishing were not optional flourishes; they were the standard. That discipline still defines every Patra counter today.
His life’s work remains the compass of the brand. The house he founded continues under the care of his family — Chairman Mr. Sarat Patra and Directors Mr. Chinmay Patra and Mr. Swarnamaya Patra — carrying forward the same unbroken promise: to keep faith with the people of Odisha, one family at a time.
